My house is fixed!!!

Today was a repeat of last week when it was full of repair men. At least this week it everything is really getting fixed. My fridge now has running water and the ice machine is working. The ice and water has never worked. It is weird hearing the ice dropping and the water running in the fridge.

As soon as the fridge guy left the foundation people showed up. We were inside while they were leveling the house. It was a weird feeling having the house move under us. Now the doors that have never shut can close. The doors that used to be a work out to open work like normal doors now. After the kids went to bed Josh and I just walked around the house opening and closing doors.

What I'm most excited about is the ability to slam doors. Okay that isn't the most excited thing but do you know how frustrating it is when you are already upset. Make a big dramatic exit and want to release some frustration by slamming a door and it doesn't close?? 

Now we have to replace the door knobs on the kids bedrooms. The previous owner used to rent rooms out and the bedrooms have key locks that we don't have keys to. Since the doors never latched or didn't close it wasn't a big deal. Now we would have to call a locksmith to get the kids out.
