This morning was all about meeting with Preston's nutritionist. It turns out that Preston actually lost a couple of grams since the last visit a couple of weeks ago. Preston had been sick since the last time he saw her. We discussed a couple of issues like Preston refusing all fruits and vegetables now. She seemed please with some of the changes that we have made. Now we have need to add more calories to Preston's diet. Also while talking to the dietitian, she believes that Preston has stopped eating the vegetables because it his way to be in control. Great. Now I need to read labels and look for things that are high in calories and I need to get real butter and try melting it in to Preston's food. Sounds yummy but I feel like I'm going to have to make high calorie but healthish meals for the boys and low calorie meals for Josh and I but it is suppose to all look the same so the boys don't realize we aren't eating the same food.

I was so consumed about trying to tweak dinner so that everyone could eat the "same" meal that I completely forgot about swimming is earlier. By the time I remembered class had already started. We pretty much arrived when classes was ending. Ethan's teacher let him stay and do the following class until everyone arrived for that class.

After swimming we headed to get some shaved ice. The boys then wanted to run around outside. We decided the back yard was being over ran by dragons. I'm just excited that the boys weren't trying to kill each other with the foam swords.

Watch out world I'm going to be a rock star!

Dragons beware. Knight Ethan is here!

Page Preston hasn't quite figured out proper swore etiquette.

This dragon is slayed!

The dragon has injured Ethan!

I will take care of this dragon!

Still clueless!

I'm still trying to figure out a schedule that gets everything done. I'll start getting a good schedule in place then it seems like a huge monkey wrench gets thrown into it. I can't seem to get back on track.

Last week was crazy busy. I'm hoping that this week will be calmer. Then again party planning for Ethan's birthday started last night.

Tonight at dinner I was talking to Josh about the different ideas I was coming up with. Then out of nowhere Josh looks at me and says, "Our kids aren't going to have normal birthdays parties are they?"

Me: "What, I am planning a normal birthday!"

Josh: "You are talking about making capes for all the kids."

Me: "The kids need to have a party favors. I don't understand why you don't think this is going to be an normal party."

Josh: "Why are you getting so defensive?"

Me: "I'm not, I'm just trying to understand your point of view."

Eventually Josh decided that I wouldn't understand his view and decided that it need to be dropped. This party isn't going to be anywhere near the parties on TLC's Outrageous Kid Parties. Then again I probably should not be watching the show while I'm trying to plan.

The last couple of mornings we woke up to rain, so this evening was cooler than it has been. After dinner we went outside to play and decided to put up the bounce house. I looked at Josh and said "This proves your point doesn't it?"

When I dropped off Ethan I had left his backpack in the car. When I came back in I hear Ethan singing. *sigh* Once again he was singing They are coming to take me away, ha ha. What cracked me up was his teacher was singing.

Today I started doing "school" with Preston. I'm using This month's theme is learning about your body. We were playing  game where we labeling body parts on a picture. Then Preston started labeling himself.

This evening was all about CirqueFit classes. I can't believe how much fun Kimberly makes working out. She totally kicks my butt every week and I'm really starting to see major improvements in my flexibility. I have decided that I really need to start working my arms out because I just don't have the upper body strength that I though I had. Today about mid way through class I could tell the boys weren't really listening. I ended up having a come to Jesus talk with the boys and it seemed to work.

After the boys went to bed I started on Ethan's party planning. I have decided that I'm just not a creative person. I can see some thing and then tweak it to make it my own but I just can't come up with ideas on my own. Needless to say I've been doing a lot of Google searches.

I give myself an A++ or 100.

Lesson learned: Even regular couponers can get 100% savings.

Tonight I headed to the store with only two coupons in my purse and high hopes that I could actually achieve a couponers ultimate goal 100% savings at a grocery store. Of course it helped that the two coupons were for free 12-packs of Coke products from http://www.mycokerewards.com. The sale that Tom Thumb is currently running is buy two twelve packs get two free and get two bags of chips for free.

The cashier was impressed and asked me where I had gotten the coupons from.

Now for pictures of the  boys.

I look so innocent

It's nap time

Mom seriously when are you going to get me into modeling?
I'm so cute

Yes Mr. Moo Moo Cow still is around.

Another Date Night!

Things I learned today:
1) Jen and I are easily entertained.
2) Mark will NOT be my official photographer at Ethan's birthday.

Tonight was the final reservation that we had for Restaurant week. We saved the best for last; The French Room. This restaurant is amazing but you might want to brush up on your etiquette classes before you go.

On the way to the restaurant there was a lot of traffic. I know downtown Dallas, shocking. Anyways, To cut down on traffic we exited going the wrong direction on Commerce street then just make a U-turn. The place that Josh turned around there was a port-a-potty just sitting in the median. There wasn't any construction near by or any other activities going that would require a toilet in the middle of an intersection. Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to grab my camera to get a picture. Jen and I were vastly amused.

Our next source of amusement came when we passed a group of protesters at City Hall. Not sure what they were protesting. Once again it was worth the price of admission.

Finally we arrived to the Adolphus Hotel. For an appetizer I had the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and it was the best crab cake I have ever had. For an entree I had their chicken dish. The chicken was good. Josh and Mark both got the beef tenderloin. I stole a bite from Josh's plate and it was amazing. It was the best meat that I have ever eaten. Then for dessert I had Peanut Butter Chocolate Decadence Cake. It was yummy. Just typing this up is making my mouth water. We are definitely going back next year for restaurant week, or if Jen wins the lottery. Which ever happens first.

I fail as a food critic because I didn't think about taking pictures of each course till I saw another table taking pictures of their desserts.

Jen's dessert. French Room Soufflé.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Decadence Cake
What entertained Jen and I the most was when we were walking out there was as guy on the other side of the street putting on a bright pink inter tube. Once again I wasn't quick enough pulling out the camera. Wearing high heels I wasn't about to run to try to get the picture so I sent Mark to get the photo.

If you squint just right you can kind of see the guy. I quickly fired Mark as the photographer and make Josh hunt down the guy to get a better picture.

Real men wear pink inter tubes!
I warned you at the beginning of this post that I am easily entertained.

Now for the pictures you really want to see. Once again I fail at camera and left it at home for Preston's soccer class. Since we had been up so late the boys and I over slept and didn't wake up till it was time to be leaving for soccer. Preston wasn't really conscious during his class. I kind of regret that we even took Preston to class today instead of letting him sleep. Ethan had a great class. I'm really impressed in how well he can handle the ball when he wants to.

Ethan: Ready, Set, GO!

Coach we are going to get you!

Another Baseball game!

This morning I happened to be dropping off Ethan at the same time another boy in his class was getting dropped off. I asked his mom if we could do a play date with our boys sometime. The boy's twin brother hear us discussing the possibility of getting together. The brother went running up to his teachers excitedly explained that he is going to have a play date with Ethan. I didn't even realize the twin brother even knows Ethan because they have never had class together.

Today the tickets for the mommy and son dance went on sale. After I picked up Ethan, we headed over to buy tickets. I'm super excited about the dance!

Tonight we went to another Rough Riders baseball game. It was a company outing for where Josh work. I was a little bummed that Mark and Jen weren't able to attend but they have been having car issues. Then again they could already be getting sick of spending time with Josh and me.

The company had reserved a party deck that included food and drink. We set up near the end of the section. First it was the only table that was opened but it turned out to be great because when the boys were running around they weren't disturbing anyone else. Our little area became the kids section.

There is a ball game going on?

I LOVE BASEBALL!!

Right above the bull pin.
